Vehicle stolen

If your vehicle's been stolen, call the police on 101 and report the theft. Give them the registration number, make, model and colour of the vehicle.

The police will give you a crime reference number. Next, report the theft to your insurers.

Then, call us 0344 824 8888 and tell us. We’re open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Vehicle found

If your vehicle’s found, your insurer should deal with any damage and return the vehicle to you. If it’s beyond repair, they will write off the vehicle.

Vehicle not found

If it’s not recovered, your vehicle can't be written off. Your insurer will get in touch to agree a valuation and discuss how much it will cost to replace it.

Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) insurance

If you have GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) insurance, it can help to reduce the difference between the value of the vehicle now it's depreciated and the amount you paid for you. You must take out this insurance before your vehicle is stolen.

Vehicle written off

If your vehicle is written off, call us on 0344 824 8888 as soon as possible. We’re open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
